When a trade fails

A failed trade costs nothing but, sometimes, the network fee. Here’s what the panel’s messages mean.

Message What happened What to do
The price moved past your slippage. The price moved more than your slippage allows before the trade landed, so it cancelled. Try again, or raise slippage in settings.
The price moved before it landed. Trying once more… The same, caught early; the trade is re-priced and sent once more for you. Nothing: wait for the result.
Not enough balance for this trade and its fees. The wallet can’t pay the amount plus the network fee. Lower the amount, or deposit. Keep some ETH, SOL or BNB for fees.
It didn’t land in time and has expired. The network didn’t include it in time (Solana). Nothing was spent. Try again.
Not confirmed yet. It may still land, or the network may have dropped it. Check the transaction link before trying again, so you don’t buy twice.
Our route pays well under the coin’s market price here. The best route reaches a thin pool, not the coin’s main market. Read the warning; trade anyway only if you accept the price.
You may not be able to sell what you buy. The honeypot check couldn’t sell the coin back. Don’t buy, unless you’re sure.
Trading on {chain} is coming soon. Trading isn’t open on that chain for you yet. Trade on another chain.
This wallet signs in its own app. The active wallet is one you signed in with (MetaMask, Phantom…), which can’t trade on the site. Switch to a fomocopy wallet (W1 and up).
Your wallet is being set up. A new account’s wallets are still being made. Reload in a moment.
